Baldev Mutta
Baldev Mutta’s journey is one of resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to community service. Born in Kenya, Baldev’s early life was shaped by a spirit of hard work and exploration. As a young man, he moved to Germany, where he worked as a mechanic—an experience that grounded him in discipline and perseverance.
Driven by a deeper calling to serve others, Baldev later pursued a degree in Social Work in Canada, graduating with honours. His academic excellence was only the beginning of a lifelong mission to uplift marginalized voices and strengthen families.
Baldev is the visionary founder of Punjabi Community Health Services (PCHS), a pioneering organization that has transformed the lives of thousands of families across Canada. Through culturally sensitive programs addressing mental health, addiction, domestic violence, and more, PCHS has become a beacon of hope for the South Asian community and beyond.
Now residing in Brampton, Ontario, Baldev is a proud grandfather to four grandchildren who inspire him every day. With over 30 years of experience in social work, his legacy continues to grow—not just through the accolades and awards he’s received, but through the countless lives he’s touched with empathy, wisdom, and action.
